Glittering Windshield

Coming in from the blackness,
Floating into sight,
Comes a restless wanderer
Carrying shards of light.
A traveller ceaselessly toiling,
Sailing through the night.

At the waters edge,
The lights they drift their ways.
Splintering their brilliance,
Dispelling the shades.
To seek their separate paths,
Singing out its praise.

And in my blade of glass,
The iridescence springs anew.
Shattered by the rainment
Falling from heaven's view,
Like stars endlessly multiplying,
Bursting with their hue.
