Literature Text

All walls fall away
They crumble to dust
They vanish in air
Only one told to stay
He does what he must
He sits and stares

The colors and lines
They blur and fade
They swap their places
The names march in time
Through the lengthening shade
You can't see their faces

Through woods so deep
The paths overgrown
The landmarks out of place
Searching in sleep
For what you once known
Now gone without trace

All walls fall away
Built with the same hands
Motive opaque
In a whirlwind of sound
Covered by shifting sands
What will awake
Time makes fools of us all
(who said that?)

i like the nontraditional rhymescheme. It provides a nice sense of rhythm without dominating the poem. Interesting concepts as well. all in all a good poem. nicely done.
